In Waukegan, popular practices book routine cleanings weeks ahead, so call early or ask to be put on a cancellation list; emergency and walk-in clinics are the exception. Across Illinois, a new-patient exam with X-rays and a cleaning typically runs from about $150 to $350 without insurance, and many offices publish new-patient specials on their websites. Check the listing for hours, whether the office takes your insurance or Medicaid, languages spoken, wheelchair access and parking, then confirm by phone: insurance networks and providers change more often than the listings do.

We appreciate the kind and friendly staff members and the heartfelt passion they have for those that they serve. Dr. Fulton and his wife Kim are terrific folks!! They are genuine in meeting the needs of their patients in Waukegan and throughout the lake county communities. Very professional from the front staff all the way up to the doctor. Immediately as I walk in the door the front desk staff ask how I am and have small friendly chit chat. Then I am greeted immediately by the dental hygienist and taken back to the cleaning chair. He has everything nicely set up and tells me everything he is doing. He is very easy on my mouth and provided me tips on the things I do correctly and suggestions on improvement areas. As soon as he is done cleaning the doctor immediately comes in and checks over my teeth. The doc is very friendly, professional and thorough. Then we set up the next appointment in 6 months and I am walked out to the door. They thank you for coming and wish me a good day. This is a great family practice. They know about my parents at the long term care facility and always ask how they are doing. They all genuinely care about their customers. I hope I never have to go to anyone else. They run a tight ship and are friendly and compassionate.
